Another tip for your hairdressing

I just had a thought and wanted to share it with you.
It was about when a client has a lot of hair and wants to have it cut shorter than usual.
Try using a basic technique first to remove most of the hair, this not only gets rid of an unusable amount of hair, but it also lets you get a feel for what the hair is doing, how it falls, how much natural lift it has. This method lets you work into the haircut.
Another trick of mine is to change my scissors or comb or both to smaller ones, this allows me to start the main part of the haircut with more detail.
What I mean by this is I can cut an area, but use subsections or smaller sections to give more detail to the haircut. I find that changing my scissors or comb to smaller ones allows me to do this, it just changes my frame of mind and approach the haircut with a different feel.
I hope I have made myself clear here, If you don’t “get it” try changing your scissors, but only do this when you have completed all the basic haircut, if you change them when you have cut only half of the haircut, you could find that you cut the next side shorter.
Give it a go and let me know what you think.
Enjoy your hairdressing.
